This is an independent planning model designed to make assumptions visible. It is not affiliated with the Japanese government, does not determine legal eligibility and does not prepare application documents.

01

Core formula

One-time setup equals the entity formation allowance, professional-support allowance and four months of office rent. Monthly burn equals office rent, founder salary, employee payroll with a 15% employer-load allowance, and other operating costs. Estimated launch cash is the greater of paid-in capital and setup plus the selected runway.

02

Default assumptions

G.K. statutory formation: ¥100,000. K.K.: ¥250,000. Professional support: ¥350,000 for a G.K. and ¥500,000 for a K.K. Office entry: four months of rent. Payroll load: 15%. These are editable planning allowances, not market quotations.

03

Source policy

Immigration rules are checked against Japan's Immigration Services Agency. Formation and operating context is checked against JETRO. Every material page shows the review month and links to primary sources.

04

Known limitations

The calculator excludes personal housing, school costs, tax-specific advice, industry licences, foreign-exchange movements and unusual ownership structures. A professional must review the facts before money is committed.
